An All foliage wedding at Kin House
There’s something so timeless about an all-foliage wedding, and Faith & Sam’s day at Kin House was the perfect example. From the ceremony in the Garden Room to the candlelit dinner in Kilvert Hall, every detail was overflowing with lush greens, soft textures, and a whole lot of love.
Oh my goodness, where do I even start with this one? Faith and Sam’s wedding at Kin House has to be one of the biggest (and most beautiful!) installs I’ve ever done — and it was completely foliage only and 100% foam free.
Faith wanted everything to feel natural, elegant, and a little bit wild — but there was one twist… she’s allergic to eucalyptus… so, we got creative and built this whole look without it, layering in loads of texture and depth from other beautiful greens instead.
For the ceremony, we transformed the Garden Room into something really special. We ran thick, tumbling foliage runners all the way down both sides of the aisle — they softened the space and made it feel like you were walking through a lush garden. It smelled amazing (and safely eucalyptus-free!), and the way the light came through those big windows made the greens absolutely glow.
Once the ceremony wrapped up, my team and I rolled up our sleeves and got to work on the Kilvert Hall for the wedding breakfast. We repurposed as much as we could from the ceremony — a proper team effort — and built this gorgeous, green, textural look across the long tables. The space itself was draped beautifully by Mia Sylvia, whose ethereal fabrics added the dreamiest touch. And the metre-long dinner candles — honestly, they stole the show. So elegant, so romantic.
By the time guests walked in, the room just sang — soft drapes, flickering candlelight, and layers upon layers of greenery everywhere you looked. It felt warm, intimate, and so true to Faith and Sam as a couple.
It was one of those days where all the effort, all the early mornings and late nights, were completely worth it. I’ve shared some behind-the-scenes snippets and videos over on my Instagram @flowersbyhelenelizabeth if you fancy a peek — it’s such a lovely one to relive.
Here’s to more weddings that remind me why I love this job so much — big installs, creative challenges, and the absolute joy of seeing it all come together.
